Please join us this year for the "Science Speaks in Nevada" Series

This series will provide multiple one-hour sessions with local STEM experts designed to increase Nevada educator content knowledge about local science phenomena. The "Science Speaks in Nevada" series is an extension of the Nevada CONNECTS Project from all three Regional Professional Development Programs, the Clark County School District, and the Nevada State Science Teachers Association.

Educators who participate in each one-hour session completely will have their attendance recorded in ELMS.

RSVP links will be available on the 15th of every month for the following month's sessions. Google Meet links will be sent upon RSVP.

The NSSTA Governing Board voted at their last meeting to create a Governance Committee to look at our growing organization's constitutional bylaws and governance structure.

This committee will consist of up to 10 current NSSTA Governing Board Members and current NSSTA members who would like to be more involved with the organization.

The committee will work both synchronously and asynchronously over the next few months and create a report to present to the NSSTA Governing Board with the potential for a full member vote if there is a proposal to change the NSSTA Constitution.

Questions about the process or committee?  Email Lori Henrickson membership@nvscience.org.

    Welcome to our new website!

The NSSTA Governing Board is so excited to share with you our new website and all the features that come with using Wild Apricot's Membership Management Systems.

If you are a current member, you should have received an email from Wild Apricot with your membership information and directions on how to log into the website.  Since everything is new, including our payment systems (we are no longer using PayPal), anyone who had reoccurring payments on the old site, will need to update their payment information on this new site when their membership is up for renewal.  If you believe any of your membership information is incorrect, please contact Lori Henrickson (membership@nvscience.org).

Once you log into the website, you will see more options on the navigation bar and have access to your Region specific page.  You'll also be able to connect and send messages to other members across the state with our Membership Directory.  To update your membership information, including adding a picture, click on the blue box on the top right of your page and then click "View Profile." You can edit your profile, including your privacy settings, from there.

We are looking forward to expanding the website and the services we provide to our Nevada teachers, so stay on the look out for more information coming soon!
