The Springs Preserve SPRINGBOARD Virtual Learning Program has two, new, exciting products for the classroom – flyer attached. These products are for 4th – 12th grades.
- A new video focused on drought in Southern Nevada - Drought: Our Water Resources and Community Response. The video covers the issue of drought specific to our region. The SPRINGBOARD program also includes an opportunity to schedule an expert for a virtual classroom visit and supporting materials in teacher toolkits for grades 4-12. To schedule an expert and/or request access to our Teacher Tool Kits, click here. Expert availability is limited.
It's important to note that students must watch the video, review vocabulary words and formulate thoughtful, topic-related questions prior to meeting with an expert. Our experts do not teach the subject matter, they provided an opportunity for students to ask questions and explore the topics further.
- A Drought Activity Kit offered to teachers at no cost. The kits contain tools to engage students in an experiment with plants and water, including a gift card to purchase the plants needed for the activity.
