Girls Who Code

Girls Who Code (GWC) is an international nonprofit offering free and flexible coding resources for our community! 

When you sign up to start a GWC Club, you’ll get access to everything you need -- including training, comprehensive resources, 120+ hours of easy-to-use and flexible coding curriculum for 3-12th graders, and even free t-shirts and other swag for each of your Club members. Clubs curriculum features coding tutorials for all skill levels, inspiring women in tech, community-building activities to increase confidence, and project-based learning related to activism. You don’t need any prior coding experience to get started! Plus -- all genders are welcome in this girls-supportive environment.

Blurb about our free Summer Programs for 9-12th graders who identify as girls or non-binary:

How does $100K a year sound?     $100K is the average salary for U.S. computing jobs, and Girls Who Code wants to help students who identify as girls or non-binary #MakeThatChange!    

Join Girls Who Code's free virtual summer programs, and get the skills and support you need to step into the 500,000+ open computing jobs across the country.  ‍  

  • Our 2-week Summer Immersion Program (SIP) hosts current 9th-11th graders in live virtual classrooms led by industry-leading companies like EAPfizer, and ViacomCBSStudents learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript while getting an inside look into the tech industry. Plus, SIP students can apply for grants up to $500!

  • Our Self-Paced Program offers independent study and real-world projects for current 9th-12th graders to earn beginner-level badges in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for web development or an intermediate-level badge in Python for cybersecurity.

Programs are available June 17 - August 12. Both programs offer exclusive alumni benefits and career support for life, including our Hiring Summit, pre-internship programs, virtual mentoring, and GWC Talks webinars for career tips and strategies.
